BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT…

Please follow the following guidelines to ensure the best treatment:

1. Stop any tweezing, waxing or epilating in the area you would like treated.
2. Shave the area you wish to be treated about 2 – 4 days before your appointment. Shaving the hairs before treatment lets us know which hairs are in
the growing stage (the best stage for electrolysis treatment), but your hairs should be long enough to grasp with tweezers.
3. Drink plenty of water starting at least 24 hours before your appointment.
4. Get enough rest the night before.
5. Do not drink caffeine the day of your appointment.

AFTER YOUR APPOINTMENT…

1. Do not touch the treated area unless cleaning to avoid infection.
2. Do not use soap for 24 hours. Clean the area with a mild astringent 2 – 3 times a day for 2 – 3 days (available through Infinity Electrolysis).
3. Do not expose area to the sun or tanning for 72 hours to avoid pigmentation. Always wear sunscreen.
4. Do not wear makeup for 48 hours except for mineral or medicated.
5. Apply Aloe Vera, Tea Tree Oil and/or repair cream as needed (available through Infinity Electrolysis).
6. Normal side effects are redness, swelling and tenderness. Occasionally tiny scabs may appear. Do not pick at or scratch the area or scarring could occur.
7. Underarms: Do not use deodorant for 48 hours.
8. Stop tweezing, waxing and/or epilating the treated area. Shaving, bleaching or depilatory creams (Nair) are ok.
9. Follow the treatment plan prescribed by your electrologist. Electrolysis is a process that takes time, patience and dedication. The reward of smooth hair free skin makes it all worth it!
